What is Career Discovery ?
Career Discovery helps students and parents identify the top three career streams that will suit the best for the student’s success in the long run. Our best in class psychometric assessment is designed to assess the student’s personality traits, aptitude and inherent likes/ dislikes. Based on all these factors we recommend the top three career streams. Several students and parents use it every year to add a layer of objectivity in their subject selection process when entering high school/college.
When should a student to sign up for Career Discovery ?
Ideal time for this module is whenever you are faced with a subject, stream, or college major selection process. Please remember that every subject you drop can eliminate 20 to 30 career options. It is unfair to be forced to make these choices as a teenager, but you have no choice. Our education structure mandates that you make some of these choices as early as IX grade in ICSE and XI grade in CBSE and ISC.

Career Discovery Steps
Parent & Student Interview
We will conduct separate personal interviews of the student and the parents. The student is interviewed one-on-one without the parents presence as some students are not able to open up in front of parents. These interviews allow us to understand their perspectives and personality type.
360 Feedback Survey
Through an anonymous survey form we seek feedback about the student from people you trust and who know the student well including - student’s peer group (friends, siblings, cousins etc), parents peer group (friends, colleagues, family) and any teachers who are willing to respond to this survey form.
Personnel Questionnaire:
A structured questionnaire to understand the viewpoint of students & parents. What are their goals, ideal work-life balance and academic preferences? Also what are their strengths and areas of development? What are their aspirations, limitations, achievements and extracurricular activities?
Career Discovery Report:
Our backend team led by the Senior mentor builds the Career Discovery Report using the subjective and objective insights obtained to recommend the top 3 career options best suited for the student. Each report goes through an internal review process before getting finalized to be discussed with the student and parents.
Psychometric Assessment:
A world class psychometric test used by fortune 500 companies as well as many of the top universities. A 45 - 60 minutes online test that highlights a student's dominant personality traits, inherent likes and dislikes and aptitude to give us an objective view of their suitability for over 650 career options.
One-on-one Consultation:
The Senior Mentor explains the Career Discovery Report during this meeting with the parents and/ or the student. During this meeting the mentor explains each aspect of the report recommending the top 3 suitable career options and answering any related questions about courses, subjects, curriculum, colleges, etc.

How many students have used Career Discovery for subject selection till now?
Since our launch in 2013, over 1 lakh students have gone through our career assessment module. Several schools across India sign up with us to do this for their entire X grade to aid in their XI grade stream and subject selection process. We also have a very large number of students from India and overseas who reach out to us directly for this module.
How long does it take to get the Career Discovery Report?
The duration of the module varies based on which option you are selecting between Career Discovery LITE (2 - 3days), Career Discovery (1 week) and Career Discovery PLUS (2 - 3 weeks).
How accurate are your career recommendations?
Till now we have found the accuracy levels of our Career Discovery module extremely high. However we would like to share upfront that worldwide career evaluation is not a perfect science. Any psychometric assessment or human process can recommend careers only based on the responses you provide to their questions. Finally career success depends on many other factors like the candidate’s sincerity, hard work and education. Local/ global economic conditions and new disruptive ideas and technologies also play a huge role in the success of a person or industry.
Why do people go through Career Discovery if career assessment is not a perfect science?
Unfortunately our education system is built in a way that you have to make subject selection in high school. The moment you drop some key subjects, you could eliminate several career options. Career Discovery adds a layer of objectivity to this subjective decision making process.
